BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY — Milestone Contractors will close State Road 11 from .25 miles south of State Road 46 to State Road 46 in Columbus on Monday, June 1. The road will remain closed for 30 days while existing pavement is replaced and new drainage structures are installed as part of the $30 million interchange project at State Road 46 and State Road 11.
State Road 11 is expected to close at midnight on June 1 and will be closed to traffic for Monday morning’s commute. The official detour for the closure will follow I-65 from Exit 68 (State Road 46/Columbus) to Exit 55 (State Road 11/Jonesville). Access to the veterinary office located within the closure will be from the south via State Road 11.
Motorists should slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones. All work is weather dependent.
