The Columbus City Council has delayed voting on a resolution to approve a property tax abatement for Gateway Senior Village, an $11.2 million senior housing development proposed for 1525 Michigan St.
Mark Lindenlaub, who directs Housing Partnerships (which is listed as one of the developers for the project), said in the application that the project will have 54 two-bedroom, one-bath senior apartments.
The development would provide three full-time jobs for the complex, with construction starting in August of 2021 and occupancy beginning in September 2022. The project is seeking a 10-year tax abatement. Renters at the complex would pay $381 to $775 a month, depending on income.
City council tabled the resolution Tuesday night until its next meeting on Sept. 1 so that the applicants would have time to obtain additional documentation to provide to city council.
