Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. is reporting 56 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases, reported since the first day of school Aug. 10.
Of the 56 cases, 36 are students, seven are teachers and 11 are support staff members.
BCSC officials said there were a sizable number of the cases reported during and immediately after fall break, which began Oct. 3. Because of that timing, very few of the cases resulted in school related close contacts, according to the school corporation.
