COLUMBUS
Kimberly Lynn Clark of Columbus, IN passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2021 after a lifelong battle with type 1 diabetes.
Kim was born on July 23, 1962 in Pendleton, California to Lynn and Marty Clark. She was a 1980 graduate of Columbus North High School and attended Franklin College and Indiana University.
Kim was a stand out athlete in high school who participated in the 1976 Junior Olympics in Track and Field. One of of Kim’s favorite memories was a train trip to California with her Granny Willis. It may well have been what inspired her to live in California for many years before resettling in Indiana to raise her son alongside her loving sisters and their rowdy boys. Kim had a passion for sewing and was known for her ability to turn cast offs into the coolest outfits. Kim always remained fit and lived to walk throughout Columbus where she never failed to make new friends. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and loved her Wednesday night Bible Study.
Kim is survived by her son Zane (Veronica) Clark; grandson, Lincoln; granddaughter, Rayne; mother, Marty; sisters Estelle (Phillip) Baugher; Robin (Derek) Ramp; Angela Pratt; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her partner, John Anthony Garcia; father, Lynn; and nephew, Avery Baugher.
According to her wishes, Kim was cremated with the family sharing private time together.
