The Bartholomew County Coroner’s office has identified the man who was found dead near Haw Creek at Marr Road and Rocky Ford Road on Aug. 11.
The man has been identified as Ethan T. Johns, 26, Columbus, the coroner’s office said. The case has been ruled death by suicide.
The 26-year-old male was found near the creek by two men who were swimming in Haw Creek at about noon Wednesday and noticed the man on the bank and reported it to investigators.
The coroner’s office estimated the body had been on the bank less than 24 hours when it was discovered.
