HARTSVILLE
Deborah Wilkerson, 71, of Hartsville, passed from this life at 11:23 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2021, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Wilkerson was born September 10, 1950, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Michael A. and Donna M. Martin Juraskovich.
She married Gary L. Wilkerson January 11, 1969.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker and a faithful member of Waynesburg Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years; children, Matthew Wilkerson of Paris Crossing, Heather (Greg) Benefiel of Greensburg and Janice Akers of Brazil, Indiana; grandchildren, Erica Wilkerson, Emily Wilkerson, Siles Benefiel and Jacob Benefiel; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Marty (Dawn) Juraskovich of North Vernon and a sister, Beth Ann Giles of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Curtis G. Wilkerson and a sister, Nichole Bowman.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Waynesburg Christian Church with the Rev. Jay Vanderbur officiating.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a .m. to time of service Thursday at the church.
Following the service, cremation will take place and a private graveside inurnment service will be held at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
