IUPUC baseball, softball drop doubleheaders

The IUPUC baseball and softball teams both dropped doubleheaders on Tuesday. The baseball team fell to IU-Southeast 20-2 and 14-6 at Jennings County, while the softball squad fell 8-0 and 22-0 at St. Francis (Illinois).

The baseball team managed just three hits in its opener. Blake Nigg, the first of four Crimson Pride pitchers, took the loss.

Columbus East graduate Alex McComb went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs in the second game for IUPUC (1-26). Drew Bradley, the first of four pitchers, took the loss.

In softball, Hauser graduate Katie Taylor doubled and Brown County graduate Taylor Poling singled for the only two Crimson Pride hits in the opener. Sydney Owens took the loss.

Columbus North graduate Taylor Hadley had the lone hit for IUPUC (5-18) in the second game. Jisele Ebanks took the loss.
