Karen Louise Robbins, 76, of Columbus, IN, passed into the arms of Jesus at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, at The Belmont Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Robbins was born October 29th, 1947, in Greensburg IN to Leroy and Edna Myers VanOsdol. She married Don L. Robbins on August 15th, 1969, with whom she had three children: Paul (Catherine) Klingler, Laura (Ed) Donovan, and Logan (Amelia) Robbins. During her life, Karen Robbins served in the U.S. Army and as a registered nurse at Columbus Regional Hospital. Alongside her career, Karen also enjoyed creating embroidery and collecting Longaberger baskets, as well as spending time in nature and gardening. Her dearest love was spending time with her family, including her grandchildren, Dallas Klingler, Jenelle (Stephen) Hoseus, MacKenzie (Noah) Newton, Sidney Donovan, Delaney Donovan, Claire Robbins, and Wulfric Robbins, and her great-grandchildren, Samuel Newton, and Everett, Anderson, and Rhys Hoseus. Karen is survived also by her brother Ken (Pat) VanOsdol and her sister Shelby Jean Weber. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ron VanOsdol. A private graveside service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery with military honors provided by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
