The Columbus Area Visitors Center invites the community to celebrate a milestone moment: 30 years since the opening of its iconic Visitors Center building, a place that has welcomed guests from across the globe and shared the story of Columbus’s architectural and cultural heritage.
The celebration will take place on Thursday, October 16, at the Visitors Center. The evening begins with a reception at 5:00 p.m., followed by a program and plaque unveiling at 5:30 p.m. on the west steps, and concludes with a continued reception from 6:15–7:00 p.m.
The program will be held in the same spot where Xenia Miller dedicated the Visitors Center building three decades ago, marking a meaningful full-circle moment for the community.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments and have the opportunity to view historic video footage from the original 1995 dedication ceremony.
The event is free and open to the public.
