Ron’s loyalty and dedication were evident throughout his life, not only to his family but also to his country. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to civilian life, he continued his career with Cummins Engine Company, dedicating 31 years of service in tool design and as an engineer before retiring.
Ron loved fishing, camping and being with his wife in the outdoors. He found great pleasure in fishing with the bass clubs and in tournaments. Ron and Diana enjoyed traveling with their camper to all four corners of the country. The golf course was another great retreat for Ron as well as his time as a 50 year member of the Moose Lodge. Ron and Diana enjoyed casinos around the country and often found a way to win. He had many lasting friends and never met a “stranger”.
Ron’s wish was for no formal service, so no visitation or funeral is planned at this time. Inurnment will take place at New Veale Creek Cemetery in Washington, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
