Heartland Kiwanis “Run for Riley” 5K Run & Walk

The seven Kiwanis clubs from Columbus, Franklin, North Vernon, Seymour, and Shelbyville are sponsoring a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 13th to benefit Riley Hospital for Children. The 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Ivy Tech Community College Columbus Campus.
Runners and Walkers can register at www.indianatiming.com for $25 prior to May 1st or $30 after May 1st or on the day of the race. Your registration includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, and a chance to win one of many door prizes.  Medallions will be awarded for the top male and female runner in each age category and for the first 3 male and female walkers.
All profits will benefit Riley Children’s Hospital. The Kiwanis partnership with Riley dates to 1919 when Kiwanis clubs from around Indiana began fundraising for the construction of the original Riley Hospital for Children. Each year the Kiwanis clubs of Indiana contribute more than $250,000 to Riley Hospital for Children.
