Join the Jennings County Historical Society on Thursday evening, February 27, at 5:15 PM for the Annual Meeting and Pitch-in Dinner. The public is invited to attend. Meat, drink and table service will be provided.

Following the meal a brief business meeting will be held to introduce 2025 Officers and Board Members of the historical society.

Emily Robinson, society board member and Living History Director will then present an educational program called “Assassination and the American Brutus”. One fateful night in April 1865, John Wilkes Booth made himself infamous, but what motivated him to do it? How did America react to the death of “the Great Emancipator”? And how did that night change the course of history? Join us for “Assassination and the American Brutus.”

Bring a covered dish and enjoy an evening of great food and history.
