Edinburgh Premium Outlets announced 15 stores, offering everything from footwear to fragrances, would be added to the existing 70 stores by December.

More than 1,000 canines of 100 breeds and their owners packed Bartholomew County Fairgrounds for the Kennel Club of Columbus Dog Show and Obedience Trial.

1965

R.M. Cordell of Hawcreek Boulevard won $100 for his “Life in These United States” anecdote in Reader’s Digest about the difficulties encountered by a local bank when a new computer arrived but wouldn’t fit in the bank’s elevator so it could be taken to the third floor. A bank executive who wasn’t thrilled with computers to begin with was heard to mutter something about plugging in the computer so it could figure out a solution for itself.
