Henry Franklin McGuire of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, Hickory, North Carolina, and Jupiter, Florida, passed into his eternal life on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Henry was born on July 30, 1939, in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, to the late Sam and Hazel Tabor McGuire and will join his brother, Sam David McGuire, in their heavenly home. A graduate of Morehead State College, Henry’s life centered around his family, friends, horses and farming.

From above Henry will continue to watch over his beloved wife, Betty Lu Riley McGuire; and three sons, David Garrard, Franklin Riley (Amanda) and Patrick Lee (Penny); three grandchildren, Samuel Cotton, Alexandra Tyler and Scarlett Kintyre; two sisters, Barbara McGuire Cross (Bob) and Louise McGuire Roberts (Carl); three nephews, Joseph David Riley II, William Garrard Riley and Rick McCoy; and two nieces, Stephanie Cross Bolby (Mark) and Mary Beth Cross Cottrill (Dustin).

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday December 19, 2015, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Sterling with burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be David Garrard McGuire, Franklin Riley McGuire, Patrick Lee McGuire, Joseph David Riley II, William Garrard Riley and Mosses Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Moore, Robert H. Ambergey, Fred Murray, Ron James, Tom Owens, Larry Burbrink and John Wilmer.
