Brooke Tuttle resigned after serving 21 years as Columbus Economic Development Board president but agreed to stay on in that capacity until an appropriate replacement was found.

1990

A bid to improve 25th Street intersections at National and Marr roads got the green light from the Indiana Department of Transportation and Contractors United’s bid of $5,600,000.86, the only bid submitted for the project, was accepted.

1965

Improvements at Columbus Municipal Airport and construction of a new airport for single-engine aircraft at Nashville were included in a $20-million expansion program proposed for Indiana by the Federal Aviation Agency and recommended to Congress by Sen. Birch Bayh.
