Nancy Jane Gilliland Folger, 75, of Columbus, died at 10:51 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016, in Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville.

Born in Greensburg, Nancy was the daughter of Wayne V. and Lillian June Dietrich Gilliland. She married Robert D. Folger on July 4, 1959, in Burney and he survives.

Nancy graduated from Burney High School in 1959. She had retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2003 after 30 years of service. She and her husband Bob enjoyed spending their winters in Winter Haven, Florida and spending time with her family and friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2 – 6 p.m. on Friday with a celebration of Nancy’s life at 6 p.m. at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street. In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, cremation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of the donor’s choice. Survivors include her husband Robert “Bob” Folger of Columbus; her children, Lorrie (Randy) Goins, Dena (Will) Bohall, Tony Folger and Darlene (Walter) Copas, all of Columbus; her sister, Chella (David) Duke of New Whiteland; grandchildren, Will (Kristin) Norton of Franklin, Leah (Bill) Speckin of Clayton, Weston Bohall of Denver, Colorado, Adam Andis of Missoula, Montana, Garett Davis of Broad Ripple, Keeley Folger and Holton Folger, Levi, Justin and Brody Copas; great-grandchildren, John and Mark Speckin, all of Clayton.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Kurt Goins; and a great-grandson, Liam Norton.
