Cummins Inc. announced its plan to open a new 603,000-square-foot distribution facility in Boone County, Kentucky, south of Cincinnati.

1991

Arvin Industries climbed and Cummins Engine Co. fell in Fortune Magazine’s list of the nation’s 500 largest industrial companies. Arvin was ranked 235th in the country, up from 251st the year before, while Cummins fell from 132nd to 140th.

1966

Clean-up of debris got underway after Columbus’ worst fire in 10 years swept through the east wing of Mahan Ford Sales on National Road, doing an estimated $300,000 in damage and injuring at least four firefighters.
