Seymour
Mrs. LaDonna Kay (Stark) DeZarn, 60, of Seymour, passed away peacefully at 10:44 a.m. the morning of Friday, April 22, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Born November 16, 1955, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Donald E. “Buck” and Eleanor E. (Brink) Stark both of whom preceded her in death.
On March 9, 1974, in Seymour, she married Woodrow “Woody” DeZarn, Jr. who survives.
A 1974 graduate of Seymour High School, she worked 13 years at Excelo shirt factory. When it closed, she went to work at Walmart in Seymour where she worked in the fabrics department as manager until her retirement after 27 years of service.
LaDonna was a 50 year member of the First Baptist Church of Seymour, a member of the Seeker’s Class, voice of praise and Golden Owls at the church. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her Kindle and scenic drives to French Lick.
Including her husband, she is survived by her son, Scott W. (Shannon) DeZarn; grandchildren, Scott W. DeZarn, Jr. and Ashley K. DeZarn; sister, Penny (Joe) Kleber; two brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Stark and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Voss Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Voss Chapel and after 9 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
Memorials may be written to the grandchildren’s education fund.
