Sam’s Club of Columbus donated $3,500 to Columbus Police Department to help support community programs such as Youth Academy, Citizens Police Academy, CPD and Me and others.

Columbus officials got word the city would receive about $850,000 more from the state than in 1992.

1966

Columbus Jaycees began digging a ditch for a sewer line to restroom facilities in Mill Race Park, part of the organization’s project to help develop the park. Since spring, Jaycees had worked with parks and recreation department personnel and other volunteers to cut weeds, burn brush, install a restroom and purchase and install picnic tables and ovens.
