Another rash of thefts from unlocked vehicles struck in Bartholomew County when at least 20 vehicles in the Mineral Springs subdivision were ransacked by thieves who took CDs, radios and anything loose they could find.


Two inches of rain, more than the total that fell in a 41-day period from May 14 through June 24, drenched Columbus, the third time more than 2 inches of rain fell in a single day.


Parking was banned on 25th Street from Washington Street to National Road and turn arrows were installed along that stretch by the state highway department.
