Edward Anthony Schneider, 59, of Columbus, passed away October 1, 2016, at his home.
Ed was born April 28, 1957, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of Carl Edward and Dora Kesterman Schneider. He married Donna Sue Akers October 6, 1984.
Ed graduated from South Decatur High School in 1975. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, enjoyed hunting and was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds and I.U. Basketball fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2016, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery in Millhousen, Indiana, (2081 E. 820 S., Greensburg, Indiana 47240).
Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery through the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Sue, of Columbus; a son, Mark (Katelyn) Schneider of Columbus; a daughter, Julie (Brian) Doty of Greenwood; and a grandson, Luke Doty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister, Carol Ann Schneider.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
