Camp Atterbury was chosen by the U.S. Army as one of six permanent training and mobilization sites to support the war in Iraq.

Groundbreaking ceremonies were conducted for a Christian home for troubled youths, Youth Hope, to be built on a 40-acre wooded tract between Ogilville and Grandview Lake that was donated anonymously.

1966

Industrial zoning of 142.5 acres on the west side of U.S. 31A North, south of Columbus Drive-in Theater, was approved by county authorities.
