Eastside Community Center’s annual free Thanksgiving meal went on as scheduled after companies and individuals bolstered meager stockpiles with enough food and supplies for the meal that annually fed about 1,600 people.

After two months of debate on what to do with youths charged with crimes, Bartholomew County Commissioners elected to operate a detention center locally with the help of state grant.
