Irvin Leo French, 79, of North Vernon, died at 1:04 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Surviving with his wife of 56 years, Ingrid Assmann, are sons, Patrick French of Miller Place, New York, Mike French of Huntington, New York and Dennis French of Ridge, New York; brother, Larry (Terri) French of North Vernon; sister, Judy (Jerry) Carmer of Seymour; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margot French.
A funeral service for Mr. French will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Four Corners with the Rev. Jerry Byrd and the Rev. C. Ryan McCarthy officiating with Deacon Larry French assisting. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery at Four Corners.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
