Anderson
Linda Kay Earnest, 67, of Anderson, passed away on April 22, 2017, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Columbus. She was the daughter of John William and Helen (McElroy) King.
She is survived by sons, Christopher W. (Prentice Simpkins, Jr) Blanton of Austin, Texas, and Robert E. (Michelle) Blanton of Speedway; daughters, Theresa A. (Ricky) Burton of Greenfield and Marsha (Millard) Johns of Anderson; companion, Tom Dunigan Sr. of Anderson; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry King of Cave City, Kentucky, Stephen King of Cave City, Kentucky, Kenneth King of Kentucky, and Lindley King of Taylorsville; sisters, Mary Alice Burris of Washington and Kathleen McCarty of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tammy Lynn Johnson; brothers, Christopher, Ronald, John, Timothy, and Donald King; sisters, Martha Powers, Janice Hughes and Bottz King.
She was a member of the Edinburgh Assembly Of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, fishing, gardening and cleaning.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
