Paul Edward King

GREENSBURG

Paul Edward King, 82, of Greensburg, died at 5:38 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Morning Breeze Health Care Campus.

He was born on September 29, 1934, in Brown County, the son of Theodore & Alice (Coffman) King. He was raised in Brown and Bartholomew Counties and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Batesville, Indiana. He enjoyed writing music and playing bluegrass and country music. Survivors include his daughters, Clifsonja A. Thompson of Campbellsburg, Indiana, Tyronna R. King of Sandy, Utah, Jacqueline Y. Kendall and Tony J. King, both of Salem, Indiana, and Amanda Newland of Fremont, Indiana; his sons, Pernell King of Greensburg, Indiana, Hank King of Salem, Indiana, and Merrill T. King of Columbus, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orville E. King; and sister, Betty A. Large.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday, August 25, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 430 Hayden Pike, North Vernon, Indiana, with Bishop Robert Phaneuf officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the general missionary fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
