A group of Bartholomew County taxpayers, many of them senior citizens, gathered at the county’s public budget hearing to protest a proposed tax increase.

1967

A 70-pound, 10-foot-tall wooden crucifix at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church was ripped off the wall and thrown into high weeds near the church which was left open for prayer and meditation 24 hours a day.
