Georgia L. Pruitt, 99, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Pruitt was born October 21, 1917, in Marshville, Michigan, the daughter of George Washington and Elsie Glover Anderson.
Mrs. Pruitt was a long-time payroll clerk at Arvin Industries and she was a faithful member of the First Christian Church.
She loved all animals and flowers.
Mrs. Pruitt is survived by a nephew, Wayne (Chong) Anderson of Findlay, Ohio; a great-niece, Lisa Conaway of Findlay, Ohio; a granddaughter, Georgia Kaye (Garry) Million of Sanders, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Million of Oklahoma and Garrett Million of New York; and special friends and caregivers, Don and Diana McNicholas of Columbus.
Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul M. Pruitt, who died April 28, 1985; and her brother, Howard L. Anderson.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Steve Yeaton officiating.
Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
