Nadine Joy Pearson, 91, of Franklin, formerly of Madison, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017, at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin, IN.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the Apostolic Tabernacle of Edinburgh with the Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The committal service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.

Born August 21, 1926, in Warsaw, KY, Nadine was the daughter of the late Archie and Sarah Hunt Stephens. She married Albert Pearson on October 30, 1954. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2009.

She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle of Edinburgh.

Mrs. Pearson had worked for over 14 years as an IBM operator for Irwin Union and 1st National Bank in Cincinnati. She later became the dietitian for Madison State Hospital before retiring in 1971. Upon retiring she opened a daycare that she operated for 38 years. Nadine enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, crossword puzzles and reading, especially her Bible. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Garry) Sharon of Sparta, KY, and Elizabeth (Mark) Myers of Edinburgh, IN; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Sarah; her husband, Albert; a son, Charles Allen Hamm; and five brothers, Lester, Clarence, Charles, William and Archie Stephens.

Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Tabernacle of Edinburgh.

Arrangements were entrusted into the care of Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Services of North Vernon, IN.
