A plan to find new schools for nearly 300 elementary students in order to turn Lincoln Elementary School into Columbus Signature Academy, for students from across the district, faced opposition from parents and community members.

1992

Columbus East High School served 13 cakes to 1,300 people Friday the 13th to celebrate the school’s 20th anniversary.

1967

The new public parking lot at the northeast corner of Sixth and Jackson streets opened free of charge until parking meters could be installed in the spring.
