Columbus Regional Hospital observed the Great American Smoke-Out with free giveaways, including “cold turkey” sandwiches for the first 100 people who turned over their cigarettes and promised to quit smoking for the day.

1967

Sixth-grade students in Jo Petro’s class at Richards Elementary School, part of the community “Troop Boosters” group, collected items and wrapped Christmas packages for 26 service members in Vietnam.
