COLUMBUS
Dawn Selig, age 56, of Columbus, passed away at 8:43 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility surrounded by her loving family. Dawn was born November 16, 1961 in Columbus and had been employed by the Bartholomew County School Corporation as a custodian at various schools. She married Mark L. Selig March 5, 1979 and he survives. She was a loving Mom and Grandma and liked photography.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Jennings County. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Mark; a daughter, Amber M. Selig of Columbus; her father, George Truman Weaver of Columbus; 2 brothers, Gregory Weaver of Ogilville and Matthew Weaver of Elwood; grandson, Kenneth Gilpin of Columbus; and her aunt, Tammy (Steve) Urso of Chesapeake, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy (Snyder) Thomas; her brother, Marion Trent Weaver; her aunt, Brenda Snyder; her grandmother, Marjorie Snyder; and her father-in-law, Lloyd Selig.
