The Commons Board voted to cover Jean Tinguely’s 6-ton, 30-foot kinetic sculpture “Chaos I” with a protective steel coating and leave it in place while a new Commons was constructed around it.

1993

Employees of Chrysler Corp. in Kokomo drove a caravan of 23 Dodge Ram pickup trucks powered by the Cummins B diesel engine to Columbus for a tour of the Cummins Midrange Engine Plant at Walesboro and other Cummins facilities.

Columbus Park Board purchased slightly more than two acres from Earl Yeley to enlarge the city’s par-3 golf course.
