Officials of the Indianapolis Museum of Art confirmed plans to acquire and preserve the home and gardens of the late J. Irwin and Xenia Miller on Highland Way.

1993

A Nashville group led by area business representatives filed suit in Brown Circuit Court hoping to block a Dec. 4 controlled deer hunt in Brown County State Park on the grounds it would deter tourists from revisiting the park and hurt the economy in the area.

1968

Bartholomew Consolidated School Board voted to purchase a 12-acre site in the Clifty Creek Park area on the southeast edge of Columbus at a cost of $2,300 per acre, the first of several parcels that would eventually form the site of a proposed second high school.
