Indiana Civil Rights Commission hosts holocaust remembrance in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Civil Rights Commission, in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council and the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, will host the 21st Annual Holocaust Remembrance Program from noon to 2 p.m. today at the Indiana Statehouse to honor those who were murdered in the Holocaust and to commemorate the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or “The Night of Broken Glass.”

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Indiana Civil Rights Commission Executive Director Gregory L. Wilson will give remarks at the event, which will include a keynote address from World War II Veteran and Kristallnacht survivor Ernie Lorch, a candle lighting Ceremony, and the reading of names.

The event is in the south atrium of the statehouse, 200 W. Washington St.
