Fairington Court
Alberta Sue James, 77, of Fairington Court, died at 8:38 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Born August 7, 1937, in Fork Ridge, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Paris and Annie Fuson Miracle. She married Bobby L. James March 24, 1956.
Alberta was a former member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Full Gospel Church and a current member of Freedom Refuge Ministries.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Lighthouse Tabernacle Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Steve Allman officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Alberta is survived by sons, Danny (Lisa) James of Clifford, Curtis (Sherry) James, Tony (Amber) James, and Shawn (Tessa) James, all of Columbus; daughters, Connie Sue (Greg) Delay of Seymour, Penny Minor of Crothersville, and Dustie Dawn (Brian) Blanton of North Vernon; brothers, James Miracle and Roy Miracle, both of Columbus; sisters, Wanda Jaggers and Christine Griese, both of Columbus; 29 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby; a daughter, Linda Lee James; brothers, Sherman North, Troy “Jim” Miracle and Alvie Miracle; sisters, Mildred Miracle and Pauline Elliott Gibson; and a grandson, Brian Minor.
