MALE

Logan Roth, Columbus Christian junior basketball player

Roth led the Crusaders with 14 points in Saturday’s 51-39 win at Dugger Union. He also scored 10 in Saturday’s 59-52 win against Granger Christian and 18 in Friday’s 52-47 win against Southside Christian.

His performance last week:

“I kind of did what I needed to do to help our team out. I scored when I could and tried to play as hard a defense as I could.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I just kind of sit down and think about what I need to do to help the team out and have a successful night.”

“I like Mountain Dew, but I can’t really drink it a whole lot during basketball season.”

“Probably Alaska, because it would be really cool to see all the wilderness and wildlife and all that.”

FEMALE

Abbey Ashbrook, Hauser senior basketball player

Ashbrook led the Jets with 24 points in a 65-42 win against Brown County and scored 17 in Friday’s 52-36 win at Waldron. She had a combined nine rebounds, eight steals and no turnovers in the two games.

Her performance last week:

“I thought it was definitely a big improvement from past seasons. It showed that my hard work is starting to pay off.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I usually just come home and relax for a little bit and listen to some music to get me pumped up.”
