Dorothy Mae Butt, 90, Columbus, formerly of Union City, Indiana, entered into Heaven at 8 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and making beautiful quilts. She retired from Wright’s I.G.A. of Union City, where she was a deli clerk.
She was born in Edmonton, Kentucky, December 17, 1925, to the late Arthur and Icy Mae Hurt Fields.
Survivors include her children, Franklin Lloyd of McQuady, Kentucky, Donald Lloyd of Columbus, Michael (Cassandra) Lloyd of Union City, Linda (Terry Poweshick) Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters-in-law, Betty Lloyd of Glasgow, Kentucky, and Linda Lloyd of Columbus, with whom she made her home. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in September 1994; grandparents; sons, Rondal Lloyd and Edward Lloyd; and brother, Robert Fields.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2016, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East St., Edmonton, Kentucky 42129, with Pastor Glenn Poynter officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fields Cemetery.
