Columbus
Angela “Angel” Maria (Smith) (Trulock) Mead, 55, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at 3:20 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital and Health Care Centers.
Angel took great enjoyment in finding sales or great deals whenever and wherever she could while shopping. She loved cooking, gardening and planning events. Decorating, remodeling and working with crafts were just a few of her many hobbies. Angel was very proud of furthering her education and was in charge of data entry for St. Francis Alliance in Indianapolis. Family gatherings and arranging vacations, (along with how quality time would be spent, during these special events and holidays), were exciting for her. Mrs. Mead loved to work with her hands. Bingo and Euchre were her games of choice and were played very often.
Angela was born Feb. 24, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late T.J. and June (Depew) Smith.
She married Star Mead on July 25, 2015, in Columbus, Indiana.
Survivors include sons, Rik (Jennifer) Trulock and Nick (JoAnn) Trulock, both of Columbus; granddaughters, Alyssa Bell and Kaylee Trulock; sister, Diana(e) (David) Schjoll of Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Angel was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and grandson, Riley Trulock.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Franciscan Cancer Center.
