Richard W. Lee, 63, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:25 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Lee was born September 2, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Henry E. and Anna Mary Stokes Lee. He married Kathy Velasquez Guerra December 21, 1991.
He graduated from Findlay College in Ohio and received a master’s degree from Ohio State University. Mr. Lee has been employed with Cummins Inc. for 35 years with his current position being Corporate Maintenance Manager and MRO.
He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and has a special passion for music and photography. He was very knowledgeable about and enjoyed working with computers.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Kathy; his mother of Cleveland, Ohio; sons, Jaime (Terrell) Guerra of Columbus, Ohio and Juan (Brad Mossholder) Guerra of New York City; granddaughters, Arianna and Sophia Guerra; a sister, Lavonna Evans of Cleveland, Ohio; his father-in-law, Joseph L. Estrada of Findlay, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss their Uncle Richard.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his father and his mother-in-law, Juaquina Estrada.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Jose L. Gonzales officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
Cremation will take place following the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
