Betty “Kay” McLeod, 79, of Greasy Creek Road, Nashville, passed away at 8 a.m. February 24, 2017, at St. Vincent Inpatient Hospice in Indianapolis.

Kay was born December 7, 1937, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Edward and Gladys Osborn Leet. She married Keith McLeod on November 18, 1956.

Kay worked for Shelbyville Central Schools where she was previously employed as a secretary and secretary to the superintendent before retiring as the treasurer. She also worked in the Brown County Art Gallery. Kay loved to quilt and was a member of “Pioneer Women” and “The Quilts” in Brown County. She was a member of Nashville Christian Church.

The funeral will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor John Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Indiana Donor Network, 3760 Guion Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.

Survivors include her husband, Keith McLeod; sons, Kevin McLeod of Shelbyville and Kyle (Norma) McLeod of Columbus; a daughter, Kelly (Dan) Bowers of Brandon, Mississippi; grandchildren, Ian McLeod, Coleman McLeod, Marlee (Andrew) Brunni, Joseph Peters, Sydney Bowers, Aaron Bowers, Adam Bowers and Sarah Bowers; and a great-grandchild, Ava McLeod.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
