CARMEL
Beth Ann McCaulay, 95, of Carmel, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017. She was born April 21, 1922, in Indianapolis to the late Paul J. and Mary (Smith) Ball. She was a gentle and thoughtful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Beth Ann was a homemaker who was accomplished at cooking, sewing, knitting, quilting, and other needlework. She also enjoyed books, painting, the ocean, her dogs, and following IU basketball. She had lived in Indianapolis, Lebanon, and Columbus. While in Columbus, she was a member of the Altar Society at St. Bartholomew and St. Columba Catholic Churches and a Cub Scout den mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. McCaulay; brother, Fred H. Ball; eldest son, J. Timothy McCaulay; and daughter-in-law, Janet Olofson McCaulay. Beth Ann is survived by her children, Michael (Eileen) McCaulay of Carmel IN, Marci (Robin Bartlett) McCaulay of Thornville OH, Patty McCaulay of Indianapolis IN, Tony (Kim) McCaulay of Pleasanton CA, Scott (Barbara Ann O’Leary) McCaulay of Morgantown IN, and Martin (Francesca Torres) McCaulay of Alexandria VA; sister-in-law, Rosalie Ball of Arlington Heights IL; daughter-in-law, Sharon McCaulay of Ft. Wayne IN; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three nieces; one nephew; and many friends at Carmel Care Health and Living and PrimeLife Enrichment.
The family would like to thank the staff of Carmel Care Health and Living and Compassus Hospice Care for their compassionate care and support of Beth Ann.
A Memorial Service for Beth Ann will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 11:00 am at Leppert Mortuary – Smith Carmel Chapel with calling there beginning at 10:00 am.
