Brownstown set for Indiana Icebreaker

Brownstown Speedway has the rescheduled Indiana Icebreaker getting the green light tonight featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with a $12,000-to-win feature event. Also racing will be modifieds and super stocks.

Gates will open at noon, with hot laps at 6 p.m. For more information, visit brownstownspeedway.com.

Don and Hudson O’Neal return to their home track at Brownstown looking for their first series wins of the season. Hudson nearly won the opening Lucas Oil race of the season in February at Golden Isles Speedway in Georgia when his late-race pass for the lead on Josh Richards was negated by a caution. Don, who is tied with John Gill as the second all-time winningest late models driver in Brownstown Speedway history, is coming off of a third-place finish in the series’ most recent event last month at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama.

Don is the 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion and drives for NASCAR’s Clint Bowyer, and is the third all-time winningest driver in series history behind only Scott Bloomquist and Jimmy Owens. Hudson was last year’s LOLMDS Rookie of the Year driver for Todd Burns of Morgantown.
