Duke Energy working on power outage in Mead Village area

Duke Energy is working to restore power to 286 customers in the Mead Village area off Central Avenue, Rocky Ford Road and National Road.

Duke Energy spokesman Chip Orben said a tree fell through the lines, breaking a utility pole too. Crews are clearing the debris from the site and replacing the pole and wire.

No estimated time of restoration has been set at this point, Orben said. Customers who are without power should call 1-800-343-3525 and report it.
