Cortney VanLiew, who led Florida Gulf Coast to an upset at Miami (Florida) on Saturday, has been named A-Sun co-Player of the Week for volleyball.
VanLiew, a sophomore from Columbus East, won MVP honors in the Sunshine State Challenge. She totaled 53 kills in the three matches, including 20 against Miami, to become the first Eagles player to record at least 20 kills against a Power-5 conference school.
