A 700-pound safe stolen from St. Anne’s Catholic Church near North Vernon contained no money but held much of the church’s history, including golden chalices that dated back to the church’s founding nearly 170 years prior.

Columbus East High School’s Olympian Spirit Marching Band returned home from participation in the Gator Bowl in Florida with 11 trophies and several first-place honors.
