SEYMOUR, Ind. –Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge is proposing updating its hunting program and seeking public comment on the changes.
Draft documents, including the Draft Hunting Plans, Draft Environmental Assessments and Draft Compatibility Determinations for the refuge are available for review and public comments until June 8.
Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge is proposing to:
- Open 747 acres to migratory game bird hunting an upland game hunting.
- Open 4,455 acres to upland game hunting (raccoon, fox, coyote, opossum, skunk).
Draft documents are located on the refuge website or you can contact the refuge at 812-522-4352 ext. 15 or [email protected] to request either printed or electronic copies. The public comment period is an opportunity to discuss the proposed changes with the refuge manager and to provide your comments on the draft plan.
