Hannah Schroer, 19, a graduate of Columbus North High School and a sophomore at Indiana University, was named Bartholomew County 4-H Fair Queen.

1995

The construction project widening Jonathan Moore Pike from two to four lanes created a bumper-to-bumper traffic nightmare for motorists and drastically reduced customer traffic for businesses in that area.

1970

Raymond David Brown and Charles Straughn, both 18 and of Edinburgh, became the youngest winners ever of the Governor’s Distinguished Hoosier Award in recognition of their first place win at the National Plymouth Trouble-Shooting Contest.
