Beginning Thursday, the Bartholomew County Historical Society hosts a new traveling exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society marking the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment, which recognized women’s right to vote in August 1920.
The exhibit, "Securing the Vote: Women’s Suffrage in Indiana," will be open to the public until Aug. 4.
The Women’s Giving Circle will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the museum at 524 Third St.
Social distancing will be in place and masks are required inside the museum. Leah Nahamias, director of programs and community engagement at Indiana Humanities, will be available to help guests explore the exhibit, highlight statewide suffrage celebration efforts and answer questions.
The museum currently is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
