First United Methodist Church’s annual Cookie Walk is Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ind. — First United Methodist Church’s 30th Annual Cookie Walk becomes a cookie pick-up because of the pandemic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Lafayette Street entrance of the church at 618 Eighth St. in downtown Columbus.

Organizers aim to sell thousands of cookies, peanut brittle, and candies in a wide array of varieties, including allergy friendly and vegan, to support missions from local outreaches to international. Last year, the sale generated a record of more than $3,000 for the cause, according to organizer Sue Romine.

This year, cookies are pre-packaged in boxes for $7 per pound and candy is prepackaged in boxes for $5 per half pound.
